Oatmeal Smoothies


Happy belated New Year to all our fans! We are aiming to start 2013 with healthy choices and plenty of exercise. One the best healthy-eating tips we love to pass on is starting the day with breakfast. Breakfast jumpstarts your body and fuels you for the rest of your day.
These new smoothie recipes from our kitchen are full of healthy and balanced ingredients to energize your body.
What are your healthy goals for 2013?
Super Green Oatmeal Smoothie
·         8 oz. milk (cow, soy, rice, etc.)
·         3 large handfuls of spinach
·         ½ avocado
·         1 medium banana
·         ¼ cup Coach’s Oats®
·         4 ice cubes
·         Splash of honey (added to your taste)
Combine all ingredients (except the ice and honey) in a blender and blend for 30 seconds or until well-combined. Add ice and honey. Blend for additional 20 seconds, until mixture thickens. Enjoy!
Blue-Cherry-Berry Oatmeal Smoothie
·         8 oz. milk (cow, soy, rice, etc.)
·         1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
·         ¼ cup dark cherries (fresh or frozen)
·         ½ medium banana
·         ¼ cup Coach’s Oats®
·         4 ice cubes
·         Splash of honey (added to your taste)
Combine all ingredients (except the ice and honey) in a blender and blend for 30 seconds or until well-combined. Add ice and honey. Blend for additional 20 seconds, until mixture thickens. Enjoy!
*Note: If you use frozen fruit, you may be able to omit the ice cubes.
